Great ambience, but in my opinion too expensive ... the dishes are recommended ... especially the pizza 🍕

We went to the Mare e Monti to eat pizza for the first time today. The service was quick, courteous and competent. Our waiter in particular impressed with his funny sayings. The pizzas (Tonno & Mista) arrived at our table after about 30 minutes and were both very tasty. For us it was an all-round successful restaurant visit. Gladly again.

We were very disappointed with the restaurant. Almost 2 hours of waiting for six pizzas and starters and generally very overpriced in terms of the quality and portion sizes of the food. At these prices you can clearly expect more! The waiter was overwhelmed despite the few customers. Service and food were unfortunately both not convincing ...

Salty food, order was changed due to non availability of items like Penne pasta, pizza dough.

Wanted to have a pizza at 1:15 p.m. today. Were turned away by the waiter at the entrance, we close at 2 p.m. But it wasn't going on on the terrace. Then we went to the pizzeria piazza where we were most politely received and the food was very tasty. Mare e Monti will never see us again.

Family with children reserved at 18:00. The ordered pizzas arrived 1:40 h later. Service friendly, but overwhelmed as there was no other available. Pizza OK but not very hot and the bottom something like rubber. Pizza salami for 9 EUR? The price / performance ratio is not right. In addition, due to the constant traffic, stress-free enjoyment in the outdoor area is not possible. As a final answer: I can very well afford the Porsche among pizzas. Then they also deliver the service of a Porsche.

We went to eat here for the second time as we wanted to give the restaurant another chance. The staff here is friendly and open to jokes, but the waiting times are below all SAU. After almost 2 hours of waiting, with 6 occupied tables and not even 20 customers in total, simply unreasonable. The food was not bad in taste, which in my opinion should be understandable for the excessive price. The hair on the pizza and the forgotten extra ingredient, however, were not quite to our taste. But what gave us the rest, shortly after our pizzas were served, the cook came out of the kitchen and chatted with customers / regular customers for an estimated 7-8 minutes, although other tables were waiting for their food. All in all, after the second disappointment, we unfortunately have to say that it is no longer enough for another visit and, according to the table discussions, we were not the only ones with this opinion during our visit.

Eating was good took a while, but normal in Corona times.

We received a very friendly welcome and got a nice place outside on the terrace. The location of the restaurant is great and the view of the city below is really great. The pasta is on the menu of the day because it is made fresh by hand every day. The pizza comes from the wood oven and was first class both visually and tastefully. I give a clear recommendation and advise you to make a reservation in advance by phone.

So we were there to try the stone oven pizza, it was a mistake ... After 50 minutes of waiting it came and the dough was like a rubber. No good open wines, I don't know bottled wines because there is no wine list. Unfriendly service, (after waiting so long for food, the plates are taken away from us after 15 minutes according to the motto we can wrap it up) Otherwise the Italian next door has a much more authentic cuisine and variations of pasta and fish dishes

The food and service were both excellent. Esp the black truffle pasta!

This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Very nice and Italian ambience, very good and courteous service. The food was delicious and you can tell that everything is freshly prepared. Very tasty pasta. All in all, you can only give 5 stars here. We look forward to the next time.

A first class Italian! The quality of the dishes is consistently excellent. I have rarely eaten so authentically Italian outside of Italy! The menu stands out from the usual monotony and offers dishes that are known from Italy, but are rarely offered in Germany. In addition, the manager of the house is happy to recommend other dishes or combinations. The organization and the friendliness of the service is very good, the boss as you would imagine an innkeeper to be. Friendly, polite and attentive. Given the quality offered, the prices are absolutely reasonable. This Ristorante would also be well attended in Milan or Florence!

Fantastic service and dinner

Very nice Italian restaurant in pretty Dinkelsbuhl. Our waiter Marvin was attentive. Starters and drinks arrived quickly, second course took an hour but we were there during the Leuchtet festival so the restaurant was very busy.

Good food but Waiting for it is about 1 hour.

Unfortunately, our experience was anything but good. The spaghetti bolognese were totally watery and bland. The chanterelle pasta from the recommendation card was completely saline, then they let go back and get new ones. A pizza was completely forgotten, came after repeated demand with the waiter after an hour as all others were already finished with their court. Pizza was very greasy (hope you can see it in the picture) and pretty tasteless. Something like that may happen but not in this frequency and not in this price range. By the way, nothing was left behind on the bill or a coffee on the house or similar. offered would have been the least for me. For us the first but definitely the last visit here. Next time it goes again two houses in Amalfi, because you just know what you have.

The positive reviews are just right. A pleasant discreet ambience meets very good food and super friendly and well-trained staff. Very confident. The prices are minimal. But that fits the offer. You can watch the kitchen. Obviously, there are regulars.

The Mare e Monti is now one of my personal favorites, although there are a few things to complain about, but more on that later. The dishes are all of a very high quality and particularly tasty. The bruschetta was very good, very crispy and yet not a trace of dryness. The pizza transports you to your favorite Italian on the Italian Riviera and is perfect for my taste. The base is not too thin, crispy and has a good taste. The covering is perfectly matched to this. The fish is my personal favorite there, I can't remember having eaten a better one. The pricing is not exactly cheap but by no means too high. Yes, that all sounds very good and actually corresponds to my opinion and is by no means exaggerated, but so do the two following minus points: Card payments are still not possible after three months of operation. I've had to walk to the bank twice because I just didn't think about where every village pub now has this option. Especially when - like me - it's about a business lunch, paying by card saves you accounting effort, but I can also imagine that some people don't always have more than € 100 with them, which here at a meal with pre and dessert and possibly a glass of wine will be due. The second criticism unfortunately concerns the staff. In response to the obligatory question as to whether everything was okay, I pointed out neutrally that the sea bream was full of bones from front to back. I was really busy with it so the side dishes were cold by the time I dissected the fish. Don't get me wrong, it can happen and the taste was really perfect, but I was asked about it and answered honestly. The answer I got was that you can't see into the fish, which makes sense to me, but it is still possible to prepare a sea bream in such a way that it is not covered with equipment. I found this succinct answer to my honest feedback absolutely out of place. A "Sorry, we will pass this on to the kitchen" or "Thank you for your feedback" and a small liqueur would have been appropriate here. So I am complaining about the criticism of this waiter. All the other waitresses were always courteous and very friendly. On the whole, we are very satisfied in this clean and cozy restaurant. Last but not least, the free WiFi is a plus. Except for the two points of criticism, which I would like to book as delayed start-up problems, I can unreservedly recommend the Mare e Monti. This restaurant is in no way inferior to the "Italian neighborhood".
